MBS2600632 is a ready-to-use microwell, strip plate ELISA (enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay) Kit for analyzing the presence of the 5', 3'-nucleotidase, cytosolic (NT5C) ELISA Kit target analytes in biological samples. The concentration gradients of the kit standards or positive controls render a theoretical kit detection range in biological research samples containing NT5C. The ELISA analytical biochemical technique of the MBS2600632 kit is based on NT5C antibody-NT5C antigen interactions (immunosorbency) and an HRP colorimetric detection system to detect NT5C antigen targets in samples. The ELISA Kit is designed to detect native, not recombinant, NT5C. Appropriate sample types may include undiluted body fluids and/or tissue homogenates, secretions. Quality control assays assessing reproducibility identified the intra-assay CV (%) and inter-assay CV(%).

This gene encodes a nucleotidase that catalyzes the dephosphorylation of the 5' deoxyribonucleotides (dNTP) and 2'(3')-dNTP and ribonucleotides, but not 5' ribonucleotides. Of the different forms of nucleotidases characterized, this enzyme is unique in its preference for 5'-dNTP. It may be one of the enzymes involved in regulating the size of dNTP pools in cells. Alternatively spliced transcript variants have been found for this gene. [provided by RefSeq, Nov 2011]

NT5C: Dephosphorylates the 5' and 2'(3')-phosphates of deoxyribonucleotides, with a preference for dUMP and dTMP, intermediate activity towards dGMP, and low activity towards dCMP and dAMP. Belongs to the 5'(3')-deoxyribonucleotidase family. 2 isoforms of the human protein are produced by alternative splicing.
