Small volumes of CDHP elisa kit vial(s) may occasionally become entrapped in the seal of the product vial during shipment and storage. If necessary, briefly centrifuge the vial on a tabletop centrifuge to dislodge any liquid in the container`s cap. Certain products may require to ship with dry ice and additional dry ice fee may apply.

The concentration gradients of the kit standards or positive controls render a theoretical kit detection range in biological research samples containing CDHP. The ELISA analytical biochemical technique of the MBS455069 kit is based on CDHP antibody-CDHP antigen interactions (immunosorbency) and an HRP colorimetric detection system to detect CDHP antigen targets in samples. The ELISA Kit is designed to detect native, not recombinant, CDHP. Appropriate sample types may include undiluted body fluids and/or tissue homogenates, secretions. Quality control assays assessing reproducibility identified the intra-assay CV (%) and inter-assay CV(%).

This gene encodes a calcium-dependent cell-cell adhesion protein containing five cadherin domains. The encoded protein plays a role in epithelial outgrowth, such as that which occurs during the development of hair follicles and limb buds. Loss of function of the related gene in humans results in ectodermal dysplasia, ectrodactyly, and macular dystrophy and congential hypotrichosis with juvenile macular dystrophy. This gene is located in the vicinity of similar cadherin genes on chromosome 8. The proprotein is further cleaved into a functional chain. Cadherins are calcium-dependent cell adhesion proteins. They preferentially interact with themselves in a homophilic manner in connecting cells; cadherins may thus contribute to the sorting of heterogeneous cell types.
