Subunit Structure: Myosin is a hexamer of 2 heavy chains and 4 light chains.
Post-translational Modifications: The N-terminus is blocked. N-terminus is methylated by METTL11A/NTM1.

Western blot analysis of extracts from HuvEC using MYL3 antibody.

Western blot analysis of extracts from rat spleen, using MYL3 Antibody.

MBS9606171 staining HuvEC cells by IF/ICC. The sample were fixed with PFA and permeabilized in 0.1% Triton X-100, then blocked in 10% serum for 45 minutes at 25 degree C. The primary antibody was diluted at 1/200 and incubated with the sample for 1 hour at 37 degree C. An Alexa Fluor 594 conjugated goat anti-rabbit IgG (H+L) antibody, diluted at 1/600, was used as secondary antibody.

MYL3 encodes myosin light chain 3, an alkali light chain also referred to in the literature as both the ventricular isoform and the slow skeletal muscle isoform. Mutations in MYL3 have been identified as a cause of mid-left ventricular chamber type hypertrophic cardiomyopathy. [provided by RefSeq, Jul 2008]
