Application Notes for anti-TGFBI antibody
Peptide ELISA: Antibody detection limit dilution 1: 32000.
Immunohistochemistry: In paraffin embedded Kidney shows staining of intercalated cells of a collecting tubule. Recommended concentration, 4-6ug/ml.
Western Blot: Approx 70kDa band observed in Human, Mouse and Rat Kidney lysates (calculated MW of 74.7kDa according to Human NP_000349.1). Recommended concentration: 0.2-0.5ug/ml.
Western Blot (WB) of anti-TGFBI antibody
(0.3ug/ml) staining of Human Kidney lysate (35ug protein in RIPA buffer). Primary incubation was 1 hour. Detected by chemiluminescence.

Immunohistochemistry (IHC) of anti-TGFBI antibody
(3.8ug/ml) staining of paraffin embedded Human Kidney. Steamed antigen retrieval with citrate buffer pH 6, AP-staining.

This gene encodes an RGD-containing protein that binds to type I, II and IV collagens. The RGD motif is found in many extracellular matrix proteins modulating cell adhesion and serves as a ligand recognition sequence for several integrins. This protein plays a role in cell-collagen interactions and may be involved in endochondrial bone formation in cartilage. The protein is induced by transforming growth factor-beta and acts to inhibit cell adhesion. Mutations in this gene are associated with multiple types of corneal dystrophy.
