The concentration gradients of the kit standards or positive controls render a theoretical kit detection range in biological research samples containing TINAGL1. The ELISA analytical biochemical technique of the MBS9902293 kit is based on TINAGL1 antibody-TINAGL1 antigen interactions (immunosorbency) and an HRP colorimetric detection system to detect TINAGL1 antigen targets in samples. The ELISA Kit is designed to detect native, not recombinant, TINAGL1. Appropriate sample types may include undiluted body fluids and/or tissue homogenates, secretions. Quality control assays assessing reproducibility identified the intra-assay CV (%) and inter-assay CV(%).

The protein encoded by this gene is similar in sequence to tubulointerstitial nephritis antigen, a secreted glycoprotein that is recognized by antibodies in some types of immune-related tubulointerstitial nephritis. Three transcript variants encoding different isoforms have been found for this gene. [provided by RefSeq, Feb 2011]

TINAGL1: May be implicated in the adrenocortical zonation and in mechanisms for repressing the CYP11B1 gene expression in adrenocortical cells. This is a non catalytic peptidase C1 family protein. Belongs to the peptidase C1 family. 3 isoforms of the human protein are produced by alternative splicing.
