The ELISA analytical biochemical technique of the MBS032308 kit is based on ACTG1 antibody-ACTG1 antigen interactions (immunosorbency) and an HRP colorimetric detection system to detect ACTG1 antigen targets in samples. The ELISA Kit is designed to detect native, not recombinant, ACTG1. Appropriate sample types may include undiluted body fluids and/or tissue homogenates, secretions. Quality control assays assessing reproducibility identified the intra-assay CV (%) and inter-assay CV(%).

Post-translational modification: Oxidation of Met-45 and Met-48 by MICALs (MICAL1, MICAL2 or MICAL3) to form methionine sulfoxide promotes actin filament depolymerization. MICAL1 and MICAL2 produce the (R)-S-oxide form. The (R)-S-oxide form is reverted by MSRB1 and MSRB2, which promote actin repolymerization
