May be stored at 4 degree C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20 degree C. Aliquots are stable for at least 12 months. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.

Small volumes of anti-Orm1 antibody vial(s) may occasionally become entrapped in the seal of the product vial during shipment and storage. If necessary, briefly centrifuge the vial on a tabletop centrifuge to dislodge any liquid in the container`s cap. Certain products may require to ship with dry ice and additional dry ice fee may apply.

Alpha 1 acid glycoprotein (alpha 1-AGP), also known as orosomucoid (ORM1), is a 40kD major acute phase reactant secreted into the plasma by the liver, believed to act as an anti-inflammatory and immunomodulatory agent. An increase in plasma alpha 1-AGP levels occurs during tissue injury, inflammation, infection, surgery, acute myocardial infarction, trauma and pregnancy. Regulators of alpha 1-AGP expression include IL-1beta, IL-6, glucocorticoids, TNF-alpha and retinoic acids, and alpha 1-AGP can bind to drugs from endogenous and exogenous origin.
