Product Note
Select online data sheet information is drawn from bioinformatics databases, occasionally resulting in ambiguous or non-relevant product information. It is the responsibility of the customer to review, verify, and evaluate the information to make sure it matches their requirements before purchasing the kit. Our ELISA Kit assays are dynamic research tools and sometimes they may be updated and improved. If the format of this assay is important to you then please request the current manual or contact our technical support team with a presales inquiry before placing an order. We will confirm the current details of the assay. We cannot guarantee the sample manual posted online is the most current manual.
Other Notes
Small volumes of HOXA2 elisa kit vial(s) may occasionally become entrapped in the seal of the product vial during shipment and storage. If necessary, briefly centrifuge the vial on a tabletop centrifuge to dislodge any liquid in the container`s cap. Certain products may require to ship with dry ice and additional dry ice fee may apply.

MBS9332430 is a ready-to-use microwell, strip plate ELISA (enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay) Kit for analyzing the presence of the homeobox A2 (HOXA2) ELISA Kit target analytes in
biological samples. The concentration gradients of the kit standards or positive controls render a theoretical kit detection range in biological research samples containing HOXA2. The ELISA analytical biochemical technique of the MBS9332430 kit is based on HOXA2 antibody-HOXA2 antigen interactions (immunosorbency) and an HRP colorimetric detection system to detect HOXA2 antigen targets in samples. The ELISA Kit is designed to detect native, not recombinant, HOXA2. Appropriate sample types may include undiluted body fluids and/or tissue homogenates, secretions. Quality control assays assessing reproducibility identified the intra-assay CV (%) and inter-assay CV(%).

NCBI Summary for HOXA2
This gene is located in a cluster of developmentally and temporally regulated genes on chromosome 6 encoding proteins involved in pattern formation. These proteins contain a characteristic DNA-binding motif called a homeodomain and function in transcriptional regulation. There are four distinct clusters of related genes on chromosomes 2, 6, 11, and 15. The protein encoded by this gene is expressed in rhombomere 2 and is important for hindbrain formation in the early embryo. [provided by RefSeq, Mar 2013]
UniProt Comments for HOXA2
HOXA2: Sequence-specific transcription factor which is part of a developmental regulatory system that provides cells with specific positional identities on the anterior-posterior axis. Defects in HOXA2 are a cause of microtia hearing impairment and cleft palate (MHICP). Microtia is a congenital deformity of the outer ear and occurs in approximately one in 8'000-10'000 births. It is characterized by a small, abnormally shaped outer ear. It can be unilateral or bilateral. Syndromic forms of microtia occur in conjunction with other abnormalities. The most common associated malformations is the cleft palate, a congenital fissure of the soft and/or hard palate due to faulty fusion. Defects in HOXA2 are a cause of autosomal- recessive bilateral microtia, mixed symmetrical severe to profound hearing impairment and partial cleft palate. Belongs to the Antp homeobox family. Proboscipedia subfamily.
