Small volumes of ITGB2 recombinant protein vial(s) may occasionally become entrapped in the seal of the product vial during shipment and storage. If necessary, briefly centrifuge the vial on a tabletop centrifuge to dislodge any liquid in the container`s cap. Certain products may require to ship with dry ice and additional dry ice fee may apply.
Related Product Information for
ITGB2 recombinant protein
ITGB2, also known as integrin beta-2, is a receptor for ICAM1, ICAM2, ICAM3 and ICAM4. It may belong to an extended family of cell surface molecules including the fibronectin binding protein. Also It is a complement receptor type 3 (CR3). It triggers neutrophil transmigration during lung injury through PTK2B/PYK2-mediated activation. Recombinant human ITGB2, fused to His-tag at C-terminus, was expressed in insect cell and purified by using conventional chromatography techniques.

NCBI Summary for ITGB2
This gene encodes an integrin beta chain, which combines with multiple different alpha chains to form different integrin heterodimers. Integrins are integral cell-surface proteins that participate in cell adhesion as well as cell-surface mediated signalling. The encoded protein plays an important role in immune response and defects in this gene cause leukocyte adhesion deficiency. Alternative splicing results in multiple transcript variants. UniProt Comments for ITGB2
Integrin ITGAL/ITGB2 is a receptor for ICAM1, ICAM2, ICAM3 and ICAM4. Integrins ITGAM/ITGB2 and ITGAX/ITGB2 are receptors for the iC3b fragment of the third complement component and for fibrinogen. Integrin ITGAX/ITGB2 recognizes the sequence G-P-R in fibrinogen alpha-chain. Integrin ITGAM/ITGB2 recognizes P1 and P2 peptides of fibrinogen gamma chain. Integrin ITGAM/ITGB2 is also a receptor for factor X. Integrin ITGAD/ITGB2 is a receptor for ICAM3 and VCAM1. Contributes to natural killer cell cytotoxicity (PubMed:15356110). Involved in leukocyte adhesion and transmigration of leukocytes including T-cells and neutrophils (PubMed:11812992, PubMed:28807980). Triggers neutrophil transmigration during lung injury through PTK2B/PYK2-mediated activation (PubMed:18587400). Integrin ITGAL/ITGB2 in association with ICAM3, contributes to apoptotic neutrophil phagocytosis by macrophages (PubMed:23775590). In association with alpha subunit ITGAM/CD11b, required for CD177-PRTN3-mediated activation of TNF primed neutrophils (PubMed:21193407).

Research Articles on ITGB2
1. Data suggest that the residue volume at phenylalanine (Phe) in alpha1-helix is critical for alpha(L)/beta(2) integrin (CD49a/CD18) activation and binding with soluble/immobilized ICAM1 (intercellular cell adhesion molecule 1).
