This CFHL1 antibody is generated from rabbits immunized with a KLH conjugated synthetic peptide between 270-297 amino acids from the C-terminal region of human CFHL1.

Purified Rabbit Polyclonal Antibody (Pab)

Purified polyclonal antibody supplied in PBS with 0.09% (W/V) sodium azide. This antibody is prepared by Saturated Ammonium Sulfate (SAS) precipitation followed by dialysis against PBS.

Vial Concentration: 2 (lot specific)

Maintain refrigerated at 2-8 degree C for up to 6 months. For long term storage store at -20 degree C in small aliquots to prevent freeze-thaw cycles.

Small volumes of anti-CFHR1 antibody vial(s) may occasionally become entrapped in the seal of the product vial during shipment and storage. If necessary, briefly centrifuge the vial on a tabletop centrifuge to dislodge any liquid in the container`s cap. Certain products may require to ship with dry ice and additional dry ice fee may apply.

CFHL1 might be involved in complement regulation. The protein can associate with lipoproteins and may play a role in lipid metabolism.

Western blot analysis of CFHL1 antibody (C-term) in K562 cell line lysates (35ug/lane). CFHL1 (arrow) was detected using the purified Pab.

Formalin-fixed and paraffin-embedded human hepatocarcinoma with CFHL1 Antibody (C-term), which was peroxidase-conjugated to the secondary antibody, followed by DAB staining. This data demonstrates the use of this antibody for immunohistochemistry; clinical relevance has not been evaluated.

Flow cytometric analysis of K562 cells using CFHL1 Antibody (C-term)(bottom histogram) compared to a negative control cell (top histogram). FITC-conjugated goat-anti-rabbit secondary antibodies were used for the analysis.

FHR1_HUMAN

This gene encodes a secreted protein belonging to the complement factor H protein family. It binds to Pseudomonas aeruginosa elongation factor Tuf together with plasminogen, which is proteolytically activated. It is proposed that Tuf acts as a virulence factor by acquiring host proteins to the pathogen surface, controlling complement, and facilitating tissue invasion. Mutations in this gene are associated with an increased risk of atypical hemolytic-uremic syndrome. [provided by RefSeq, Oct 2009]
