Human, Mouse, Rat
Specificity
EFNB1 (Phospho-Tyr317) Antibody detects endogenous levels of EFNB1 only when phosphorylated at Tyr317.
Purity/Purification
Purified from rabbit antiserum by affinity-chromatography using phospho peptide. The antibody against non-phospho peptide was removed by chromatography using corresponding non-phospho peptide.
Form/Format
Rabbit IgG in phosphate buffered saline (Phospho-without Mg2+ and Ca2+), pH 7.4, 150mM NaCl, 0.02% sodium azide and 50% glycerol.
Concentration
1 mg/ml (lot specific)
Target Modification
Phospho
Modification Sites
H:Y317; M:Y316; R:Y316
Immunogen
The antiserum was produced against synthesized phospho-peptide derived from human EFNB1 around the phosphorylation site of Tyr317.
Preparation and Storage
Stable at -20 degree C for at least 1 year.
Other Notes
Small volumes of anti-EFNB1 antibody vial(s) may occasionally become entrapped in the seal of the product vial during shipment and storage. If necessary, briefly centrifuge the vial on a tabletop centrifuge to dislodge any liquid in the container`s cap. Certain products may require to ship with dry ice and additional dry ice fee may apply.

NCBI Summary for EFNB1
The protein encoded by this gene is a type I membrane protein and a ligand of Eph-related receptor tyrosine kinases. It may play a role in cell adhesion and function in the development or maintenance of the nervous system. [provided by RefSeq, Jul 2008]
UniProt Comments for EFNB1
Binds to the receptor tyrosine kinases EPHB1 and EPHA1. Binds to, and induce the collapse of, commissural axons/growth cones in vitro. May play a role in constraining the orientation of longitudinally projecting axons ().
Research Articles on EFNB1
1. we demonstrate that mosaicism for EPHRIN-B1 expression induced by random X inactivation in heterozygous females results in robust cell segregation in human neuroepithelial cells, thus supplying experimental evidence that Eph/ephrin-mediated cell segregation is relevant to pathogenesis in human CFNS patients.
