UniProt Comments for AGTR1
Function: Receptor for angiotensin II. Mediates its action by association with G proteins that activate a phosphatidylinositol-calcium second messenger system.
Subunit structure: Interacts with MAS1. Interacts with ARRB1
By similarity.
Subcellular location: Cell membrane; Multi-pass membrane protein.
Post-translational modification: C-terminal Ser or Thr residues may be phosphorylated.
Sequence similarities: Belongs to the G-protein coupled receptor 1 family.
Research Articles on AGTR1
1. Renal AT1R expression was increased by approximately 67% and AT2R expression was decreased by approximately 87% in rabbits with heart failure; however, kidneys from denervated rabbits with heart failure showed a near normalization in the expression of these receptors.
