Product Note
Select online data sheet information is drawn from bioinformatics databases, occasionally resulting in ambiguous or non-relevant product information. It is the responsibility of the customer to review, verify, and evaluate the information to make sure it matches their requirements before purchasing the kit. Our ELISA Kit assays are dynamic research tools and sometimes they may be updated and improved. If the format of this assay is important to you then please request the current manual or contact our technical support team with a presales inquiry before placing an order. We will confirm the current details of the assay. We cannot guarantee the sample manual posted online is the most current manual.
Other Notes
Small volumes of FOXP1 elisa kit vial(s) may occasionally become entrapped in the seal of the product vial during shipment and storage. If necessary, briefly centrifuge the vial on a tabletop centrifuge to dislodge any liquid in the container`s cap. Certain products may require to ship with dry ice and additional dry ice fee may apply.

MBS2087572 is a ready-to-use microwell, strip plate ELISA (enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay) Kit for analyzing the presence of the Forkhead Box Protein P1 (FOXP1) ELISA Kit target analytes in biological samples. The concentration gradients of the kit standards or positive controls render a theoretical kit detection range in biological research samples containing FOXP1. The ELISA analytical biochemical technique of the MBS2087572 kit is based on FOXP1 antibody-FOXP1 antigen interactions (immunosorbency) and an HRP colorimetric detection system to detect FOXP1 antigen targets in samples. The ELISA Kit is designed to detect native, not recombinant, FOXP1. Appropriate sample types may include undiluted body fluids and/or tissue homogenates, secretions. Quality control assays assessing reproducibility identified the intra-assay CV (%) and inter-assay CV(%).

NCBI Summary for FOXP1
This gene belongs to subfamily P of the forkhead box (FOX) transcription factor family. Forkhead box transcription factors play important roles in the regulation of tissue- and cell type-specific gene transcription during both development and *****hood. Forkhead box P1 protein contains both DNA-binding- and protein-protein binding-domains. This gene may act as a tumor suppressor as it is lost in several tumor types and maps to a chromosomal region (3p14.1) reported to contain a tumor suppressor gene(s). Alternative splicing results in multiple transcript variants encoding different isoforms. [provided by RefSeq, Jul 2008]
UniProt Comments for FOXP1
FOXP1: Transcriptional repressor. It plays an important role in the specification and differentiation of lung epithelium. Can act with CTBP1 to synergistically repress transcription but CTPBP1 is not essential. Essential transcriptional regulator of B-cell development. Forms homodimers and heterodimers with FOXP2 and FOXP4. Dimerization is required for DNA-binding. Interacts with CTBP1. 5 isoforms of the human protein are produced by alternative splicing.
Protein type: C2H2-type zinc finger protein; Cell cycle regulation; DNA-binding; Transcription factor
Chromosomal Location of Human Ortholog: 3p13
Cellular Component: nucleoplasm; nucleus
Molecular Function: androgen receptor binding; protein binding; protein self-association
Biological Process: endothelial cell activation; macrophage activation; monocyte activation; negative regulation of B cell apoptosis; negative regulation of transcription, DNA-dependent; osteoclast differentiation; positive regulation of smooth muscle cell proliferation; regulation of inflammatory response; regulation of interleukin-1 beta secretion; regulation of monocyte differentiation; regulation of tumor necrosis factor production; response to lipopolysaccharide
Disease: Mental Retardation With Language Impairment And With Or Without Autistic Features
Research Articles on FOXP1
1. FOXP1 has protein-protein interaction with NFAT1 on DNA and enhances breast cancer cell migration by repressing NFAT1 transcriptional activity.
