Western blot analysis of CEACAM8 using HeLa whole cell lysates

MBS9603009 at 1/200 staining human liver tissue sections by IHC-P. The tissue was formaldehyde fixed and a heat mediated antigen retrieval step in citrate buffer was performed. The tissue was then blocked and incubated with the antibody for 1.5 hours at 22 degree C. An HRP conjugated goat anti-rabbit antibody was used as the secondary.

Cell surface glycoprotein that plays a role in cell adhesion in a calcium-independent manner (PubMed:8776764, PubMed:2022629, PubMed:11590190). Mediates heterophilic cell adhesion with other carcinoembryonic antigen-related cell adhesion molecules, such as CEACAM6 (PubMed:8776764, PubMed:2022629, PubMed:11590190). Heterophilic interaction with CEACAM8 occurs in activated neutrophils (PubMed:8776764).
