Other Notes
Small volumes of FUCA1 recombinant protein vial(s) may occasionally become entrapped in the seal of the product vial during shipment and storage. If necessary, briefly centrifuge the vial on a tabletop centrifuge to dislodge any liquid in the container`s cap. Certain products may require to ship with dry ice and additional dry ice fee may apply.
Related Product Information for
FUCA1 recombinant protein
FUCA1, also known as tissue alpha-L-fucosidase, is responsible for hydrolyzing the alpha-1,6-linked fucose joined to the reducing-end N-acetylglucosamine of the carbohydrate moieties of glycoproteins. Fucosidosis is an autosomal recessive lysosomal storage disease resulting from absence of alpha-L-fucosidase activity. Recombinant human FUCA1, fused to His-tag at C-terminus, was expressed in insect cell and purified by using conventional chromatography techniques.

NCBI Summary for FUCA1
The protein encoded by this gene is a lysosomal enzyme involved in the degradation of fucose-containing glycoproteins and glycolipids. Mutations in this gene are associated with fucosidosis (FUCA1D), which is an autosomal recessive lysosomal storage disease. A pseudogene of this locus is present on chr 2.[provided by RefSeq, Oct 2009]
UniProt Comments for FUCA1
Alpha-L-fucosidase is responsible for hydrolyzing the alpha-1,6-linked fucose joined to the reducing-end N-acetylglucosamine of the carbohydrate moieties of glycoproteins.
