MBS7263390 is a ready-to-use microwell, strip plate ELISA (enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay) Kit for analyzing the presence of the Ammonium Transporter Rh Type A (RHAG) ELISA Kit target analytes in biological samples. The concentration gradients of the kit standards or positive controls render a theoretical kit detection range in biological research samples containing RHAG. The ELISA analytical biochemical technique of the MBS7263390 kit is based on RHAG antibody-RHAG antigen interactions (immunosorbency) and an HRP colorimetric detection system to detect RHAG antigen targets in samples. The ELISA Kit is designed to detect native, not recombinant, RHAG. Appropriate sample types may include undiluted body fluids and/or tissue homogenates, secretions. Quality control assays assessing reproducibility identified the intra-assay CV (%) and inter-assay CV(%).

This ELISA kit is a 1.5 hour solid-phase ELISA designed for the quantitative determination of the targets.

The protein encoded by this gene is erythrocyte-specific and is thought to be part of a membrane channel that transports ammonium and carbon dioxide across the blood cell membrane. The encoded protein appears to interact with Rh blood group antigens and Rh30 polypeptides. Defects in this gene are a cause of regulator type Rh-null hemolytic anemia (RHN), or Rh-deficiency syndrome.[provided by RefSeq, Mar 2009]

Associated with rhesus blood group antigen expression (PubMed:19744193). May be part of an oligomeric complex which is likely to have a transport or channel function in the erythrocyte membrane (PubMed:11062476, PubMed:11861637). Involved in ammonia transport across the erythrocyte membrane (PubMed:21849667, PubMed:22012326). Seems to act in monovalent cation transport (PubMed:18931342, PubMed:21849667).
