The ELISA analytical biochemical technique of the MBS454289 kit is based on ARPC2 antibody-ARPC2 antigen interactions (immunosorbency) and an HRP colorimetric detection system to detect ARPC2 antigen targets in samples. Intended Uses: The kit is a sandwich enzyme immunoassay for in vitro quantitative measurement of ARPC2 in human tissue homogenates and other biological fluids.
Principle of the Assay: The microtiter plate provided in this kit has been pre-coated with an antibody specific to ARPC2. Standards or samples are then added to the appropriate microtiter plate wells with a biotin-conjugated antibody preparation specific to ARPC2. Next, Avidin conjugated to Horseradish Peroxidase (HRP) is added to each microplate well and incubated. After TMB substrate solution is added, only those wells that contain ARPC2, biotin-conjugated antibody and enzyme-conjugated Avidin will exhibit a change in color. The enzyme-substrate reaction is terminated by the addition of sulphuric acid solution and the color change is measured spectrophotometrically at a wavelength of 450nm +/- 10nm. The concentration of ARPC2 in the samples is then determined by comparing the O.D. of the samples to the standard curve.

NCBI Summary for ARPC2
This gene encodes one of seven subunits of the human Arp2/3 protein complex. The Arp2/3 protein complex has been implicated in the control of actin polymerization in cells and has been conserved through evolution. The exact role of the protein encoded by this gene, the p34 subunit, has yet to be determined. Two alternatively spliced variants have been characterized to date.
