98% by SDS-PAGE and HPLC Endotoxin: 0.1ng/ug
Form/Format
Supplied as a lyophilized powder from 15mM sodium phosphate, pH 7.0, 0.25M sodium chloride. 11mg BSA. Reconstituted in PBS to a concentration of 0.5-1mg/ml. This solution can then be diluted into other aqueous solutions.
Biological Activity
ED50 determined by the dose-dependent stimulation of thymidine uptake by KGF-responsive BaF3 cells is 10 ng/ml, corresponding to a specific activity of 1x10e7 units/mg.
Preparation and Storage
Lyophilized powder may be stored at -20 degree C. Reconstitute to nominal volume by adding sterile PBS. Aliquot and store at -20 degree C. Reconstituted product is stable for 3 months at -20 degree C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
Other Notes
Small volumes of FGF7 recombinant protein vial(s) may occasionally become entrapped in the seal of the product vial during shipment and storage. If necessary, briefly centrifuge the vial on a tabletop centrifuge to dislodge any liquid in the container`s cap. Certain products may require to ship with dry ice and additional dry ice fee may apply.

NCBI Summary for FGF7
The protein encoded by this gene is a member of the fibroblast growth factor (FGF) family. FGF family members possess broad mitogenic and cell survival activities, and are involved in a variety of
biological processes, including embryonic development, cell growth, morphogenesis, tissue repair, tumor growth and invasion. This protein is a potent epithelial cell-specific growth factor, whose mitogenic activity is predominantly exhibited in keratinocytes but not in fibroblasts and endothelial cells. Studies of mouse and rat homologs of this gene implicated roles in morphogenesis of epithelium, reepithelialization of wounds, hair development and early lung organogenesis. [provided by RefSeq]
UniProt Comments for FGF7
