The concentration gradients of the kit standards or positive controls render a theoretical kit detection range in biological research samples containing GATA1. The ELISA analytical biochemical technique of the MBS748973 kit is based on GATA1 antibody-GATA1 antigen interactions (immunosorbency) and an HRP colorimetric detection system to detect GATA1 antigen targets in samples. The ELISA Kit is designed to detect native, not recombinant, GATA1. Appropriate sample types may include undiluted body fluids and/or tissue homogenates, secretions. Quality control assays assessing reproducibility identified the intra-assay CV (%) and inter-assay CV(%).

GATA1_HUMAN

This gene encodes a protein which belongs to the GATA family of transcription factors. The protein plays an important role in erythroid development by regulating the switch of fetal hemoglobin to ***** hemoglobin. Mutations in this gene have been associated with X-linked dyserythropoietic anemia and thrombocytopenia. [provided by RefSeq, Jul 2008]

GATA1: Transcriptional activator which probably serves as a general switch factor for erythroid development. It binds to DNA sites with the consensus sequence [AT]GATA[AG] within regulatory regions of globin genes and of other genes expressed in erythroid cells.
