Application Notes for anti-KHK antibody
WB: 1/500 - 1/2000; IHC: 1/50 - 1/200
Western Blot (WB) of anti-KHK antibody
Western blot analysis of Ketohexokinase expression in mouse liver (A), rat kidney (B) whole cell lysates.

Immunohistochemistry (IHC) of anti-KHK antibody
Immunohistochemical analysis of Ketohexokinase staining in human kidney formalin fixed paraffin embedded tissue section. The section was pre-treated using heat mediated antigen retrieval with sodium citrate buffer (pH 6.0). The section was then incubated with the antibody at room temperature and detected using an HRP conjugated compact polymer system. DAB was used as the chromogen. The section was then counterstained with haematoxylin and mounted with DPX.

NCBI Summary for KHK
This gene encodes ketohexokinase that catalyzes conversion of fructose to fructose-1-phosphate. The product of this gene is the first enzyme with a specialized pathway that catabolizes dietary fructose. Alternatively spliced transcript variants encoding different isoforms have been identified. [provided by RefSeq, Jul 2008]
UniProt Comments for KHK
Catalyzes the phosphorylation of the ketose sugar fructose to fructose-1-phosphate.
Research Articles on KHK
1. myocardial hypoxia actuates fructose metabolism in human and mouse models of pathological cardiac hypertrophy through hypoxia-inducible factor 1alpha (HIF1alpha) activation of SF3B1 and SF3B1-mediated splice switching of KHK-A to KHK-C
