Purity/Purification
Troponin I antibody (Cardiac) was purified by chromatography on protein A Sepharose.
Form/Format
Protein A purified IgG supplied in PBS, pH 7.5, 0.1 % NaN3.
Biological Significance
Human troponin I is presented in cardiac muscle tissue by a single isoform with molecular weight 23876 Da and it consists of 209 amino acid residues. cTnI molecule contains two serines in the 22 and 23 positions. Both amino acid residues can be phosphorylated in vivo by protein kinase A, so four forms of protein ? one dephospho, two monophospho and one bisphospho ? can coexist in the cell.
Biohazard Information
This product contains sodium azide as preservative. Although the amount of sodium azide is very small appropriate care must be taken when handling this product.
Immunogen
Troponin I antibody (cardiac) was raised in mouse using amino acid residues 86-90 of cTnI as the immunogen.
Preparation and Storage
Store at 4 degree C.
Other Notes
Small volumes of anti-TNNI3 antibody vial(s) may occasionally become entrapped in the seal of the product vial during shipment and storage. If necessary, briefly centrifuge the vial on a tabletop centrifuge to dislodge any liquid in the container`s cap. Certain products may require to ship with dry ice and additional dry ice fee may apply.

UniProt Comments for TNNI3
TNNI3: Troponin I is the inhibitory subunit of troponin, the thin filament regulatory complex which confers calcium-sensitivity to striated muscle actomyosin ATPase activity. Binds to actin and tropomyosin. Interacts with TRIM63. Interacts with STK4/MST1. Belongs to the troponin I family.
Protein type: Motility/polarity/chemotaxis; Motor; Actin-binding
