ELISA (EIA), Western Blot (WB)
Application Notes for anti-IFN-gamma antibody
Sandwich ELISA: In a sandwich ELISA (assuming 100 ul/well), a concentration of 4.0-8.0 ug/ml of this antibody will detect at least 500 pg/ml of recombinant human IFN-gamma when used with biotinylated antigen affinity purified anti-human IFN-gamma as the detection antibody at a concentration of approximately 2.0-4.0 mug/ml.

Western Blot: To detect Human IFN-gamma by Western Blot analysis this antibody can be used at a concentration of 0.20-0.40 ug/ml. When used in conjunction with compatible secondary reagents, the detection limit for recombinant Human IFN-gamma is 1.0-3.0 ng/lane, under non-reducing conditions.

NCBI Summary for IFN-gamma
This gene encodes a member of the type II interferon family. The protein encoded is a soluble cytokine with antiviral, immunoregulatory and anti-tumor properties and is a potent activator of macrophages. Mutations in this gene are associated with aplastic anemia.[provided by RefSeq, Nov 2009]

UniProt Comments for IFN-gamma
IFNG: Produced by lymphocytes activated by specific antigens or mitogens. IFN-gamma, in addition to having antiviral activity, has important immunoregulatory functions. It is a potent activator of macrophages, it has antiproliferative effects on transformed cells and it can potentiate the antiviral and antitumor effects of the type I interferons. Homodimer. Released primarily from activated T lymphocytes. Belongs to the type II (or gamma) interferon family.
