Application Notes for anti-IFN-gamma antibody
Direct Detection: To detect Rat IFN-gamma by direct ELISA (using 100 mul/well antibody solution) a concentration of 0.25 - 1.0 mug/ml of this antibody is required. This biotinylated polyclonal antibody, in conjunction with compatible secondary reagents, allows the detection of at least 0.2 - 0.4 ng/well of recombinant Rat IFN-gamma.
Sandwich ELISA: To detect Rat IFN-gamma by sandwich ELISA (using 100 mul/well antibody solution) a concentration of 0.25 - 1.0 mug/ml of this antibody is required. This biotinylated polyclonal antibody, in conjunction with Polyclonal Anti-Rat IFN-gamma as a capture antibody, allows the detection of at least 0.2 - 0.4 ng/well of recombinant Rat IFN-gamma.
Western Blot: To detect Rat IFN-gamma by Western Blot analysis this antibody can be used at a concentration of 0.1 - 0.2 ug/ml. When used in conjunction with compatible secondary reagents, the detection limit for recombinant Rat IFN-gamma is 1.5 - 3.0 ng/lane, under either reducing or non-reducing conditions.

NCBI Summary for IFN-gamma
an immune molecule produced by T lymphocytes in response to mitogens or antigens [RGD, Feb 2006]
UniProt Comments for IFN-gamma
Produced by lymphocytes activated by specific antigens or mitogens. IFN-gamma, in addition to having antiviral activity, has important immunoregulatory functions. It is a potent activator of macrophages, it has antiproliferative effects on transformed cells and it can potentiate the antiviral and antitumor effects of the type I interferons.
