Antisera to human IFN gamma were raised by repeated immunisations of rabbits with highly purified antigen. Purified IgG prepared by affinity chromatography.

Preparation and Storage
Prior to reconstitution store at 4 degree C. After reconstitution store at -20 degree C. Storage in frost-free freezers is not recommended. This product should be stored undiluted. Avoid repeated freezing and thawing as this may denature the antibody. Should this product contain a precipitate we recommend microcentrifugation before use.
Shelf Life: 12 months from date of reconstitution.
Other Notes
Small volumes of anti-IFNG antibody vial(s) may occasionally become entrapped in the seal of the product vial during shipment and storage. If necessary, briefly centrifuge the vial on a tabletop centrifuge to dislodge any liquid in the container`s cap. Certain products may require to ship with dry ice and additional dry ice fee may apply.

Rabbit anti Human Interferon gamma antibody recognizes human IFN-gamma (Interferon-gamma), a 143 amino acid regulatory cytokine and member of the Type II interferon family. IFN-gamma is involved in the regulation of the immune and inflammatory responses and is secreted primarily by mitogen and antigen activated T lymphocytes and natural killer cells (NK). IFN-gamma is a multifunctional cytokine which signals through the IFN-gamma receptor (IFNGR), found on most immune cells. Properties of IFN-gamma include recruitment of leucocytes to sites of infection, inducement of MHC class I and II antigens, stimulation of anti-microbial and anti-tumour responses of macrophages, Nk cells and neutrophils, and has also been shown to potentiate the antiproliferative effects of IFN-alpha and IFN-beta.

Application Notes for anti-IFNG antibody
ELISA: This purified human IFN gamma antibody may be used in an indirect ELISA or as the capture reagent in a sandwich ELISA with our biotinylated human IFN gamma antibody as the detection reagent and recombinant human IFN gamma as the standard.
Western Blot: This antibody may be used in Western Blotting under either reducing or non-reducing conditions with recombinant human IFN gamma as the positive control.
ELISA: Minimum Dilution: 0.5; Maximum Dilution: 2.0ug/ml
Functional Assays: Minimum Dilution: 0.04; Maximum Dilution: 0.06ug/ml
Immunohistology - Paraffin: Application Note: This product requires antigen retrieval using heat treatment prior to staining of paraffin sections. Sodium citrate buffer pH 6.0 is recommended for this purpose.
Western Blotting: Minimum Dilution: 0.1; Maximum Dilution: 0.2ug/ml
