Related Product Information for
4-1BB/TNFRSF9/CD137 recombinant protein
Tumor necrosis factor receptor superfamily member 9(TNFRSF9) is an inducible T cell surface protein belonging to the TNF receptor superfamily. It is a single-pass type I membrane protein which contains 4 TNFR-Cys repeats. The human and mouse proteins share 60% amino acid sequence identity. It is absent from naive T cells, but upregulated and continually expressed following T cell activation. It is a receptor for TNFSF9/4-1BBL, and possibly active during T cell activation.

NCBI Summary for 4-1BB/TNFRSF9/CD137
The protein encoded by this gene is a member of the TNF-receptor superfamily. This receptor contributes to the clonal expansion, survival, and development of T cells. It can also induce proliferation in peripheral monocytes, enhance T cell apoptosis induced by TCR/CD3 triggered activation, and regulate CD28 co-stimulation to promote Th1 cell responses. The expression of this receptor is induced by lymphocyte activation. TRAF adaptor proteins have been shown to bind to this receptor and transduce the signals leading to activation of NF-kappaB. UniProt Comments for 4-1BB/TNFRSF9/CD137
Receptor for TNFSF9/4-1BBL. Possibly active during T cell activation.
Research Articles on 4-1BB/TNFRSF9/CD137
1. 3 SNPs (rs161827, rs161818, and rs161810) of the CD137 gene and their association with ischemic stroke were studied in a northern Chinese Han population. rs161827 was significantly different between patients with and without diabetes and the controls. rs161818 and rs161810 differed significantly between patients without diabetes and the controls. All 3 were statistically significant in the combination stroke group.
