Product Note
Select online data sheet information is drawn from bioinformatics databases, occasionally resulting in ambiguous or non-relevant product information. It is the responsibility of the customer to review, verify, and evaluate the information to make sure it matches their requirements before purchasing the kit. Our ELISA Kit assays are dynamic research tools and sometimes they may be updated and improved. If the format of this assay is important to you then please request the current manual or contact our technical support team with a presales inquiry before placing an order. We will confirm the current details of the assay. We cannot guarantee the sample manual posted online is the most current manual.
Other Notes
Small volumes of WNT7A elisa kit vial(s) may occasionally become entrapped in the seal of the product vial during shipment and storage. If necessary, briefly centrifuge the vial on a tabletop centrifuge to dislodge any liquid in the container`s cap. Certain products may require to ship with dry ice and additional dry ice fee may apply.

MBS282281 is a ready-to-use microwell, strip plate ELISA (enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay) Kit for analyzing the presence of the Protein Wnt-7a (WNT7A) ELISA Kit target analytes in biological samples. The concentration gradients of the kit standards or positive controls render a theoretical kit detection range in biological research samples containing WNT7A. The ELISA analytical biochemical technique of the MBS282281 kit is based on WNT7A antibody-WNT7A antigen interactions (immunosorbency) and an HRP colorimetric detection system to detect WNT7A antigen targets in samples. The ELISA Kit is designed to detect native, not recombinant, WNT7A. Appropriate sample types may include undiluted body fluids and/or tissue homogenates, secretions. Quality control assays assessing reproducibility identified the intra-assay CV (%) and inter-assay CV(%).

Principle of the Assay: This assay employs a two-site sandwich ELISA to quantitate WNT7A in samples. An antibody specific for WNT7A has been pre-coated onto a microplate. Standards and samples are pipetted into the wells and anyWNT7A present is bound by the immobilized antibody. After removing any unbound substances, a biotin-conjugated antibody specific for WNT7A is added to the wells. After washing, Streptavidin conjugated Horseradish Peroxidase (HRP) is added to the wells. Following a wash to remove any unbound avidin-enzyme reagent, a substrate solution is added to the wells and color develops in proportion to the amount of WNT7A bound in the initial step. The color development is stopped and the intensity of the color is measured.

NCBI Summary for WNT7A
This gene is a member of the WNT gene family, which consists of structurally related genes that encode secreted signaling proteins. These proteins have been implicated in oncogenesis and in several developmental processes, including regulation of cell fate and patterning during embryogenesis. This gene is involved in the development of the anterior-posterior axis in the female reproductive tract, and also plays a critical role in uterine smooth muscle pattering and maintenance of ***** uterine function. Mutations in this gene are associated with Fuhrmann and Al-Awadi/Raas-Rothschild/Schinzel phocomelia syndromes. [provided by RefSeq, Jul 2008]
UniProt Comments for WNT7A
WNT7A: Ligand for members of the frizzled family of seven transmembrane receptors. Probable developmental protein. Signaling by Wnt-7a allows sexually dimorphic development of the mullerian ducts. Defects in WNT7A are the cause of limb pelvis hypoplasia aplasia syndrome (LPHAS). A syndrome of severe deficiency of the extremities due to hypo- or aplasia of one or more long bones of one or more limbs. Pelvic manifestations include hip dislocation, hypoplastic iliac bone and aplastic pubic bones. Thoracic deformity, unusual facies and genitourinary anomalies can be present. Defects in WNT7A are a cause of Fuhrmann syndrome (FUHRS); also known as fibular aplasia or hypoplasia femoral bowing and poly- syn- and oligodactyly. Fuhrmann syndrome is a distinct limb-malformation disorder characterized also by various degrees of limb aplasia/hypoplasia and joint dysplasia. Belongs to the Wnt family.
