Product Note
Select online data sheet information is drawn from bioinformatics databases, occasionally resulting in ambiguous or non-relevant product information. It is the responsibility of the customer to review, verify, and evaluate the information to make sure it matches their requirements before purchasing the kit. Our ELISA Kit assays are dynamic research tools and sometimes they may be updated and improved. If the format of this assay is important to you then please request the current manual or contact our technical support team with a presales inquiry before placing an order. We will confirm the current details of the assay. We cannot guarantee the sample manual posted online is the most current manual.
Other Notes
Small volumes of FIGLA elisa kit vial(s) may occasionally become entrapped in the seal of the product vial during shipment and storage. If necessary, briefly centrifuge the vial on a tabletop centrifuge to dislodge any liquid in the container`s cap. Certain products may require to ship with dry ice and additional dry ice fee may apply.

MBS9333476 is a ready-to-use microwell, strip plate ELISA (enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay) Kit for analyzing the presence of the folliculogenesis specific basic helix-loop-helix (FIGLA) ELISA Kit target analytes in
biological samples. The concentration gradients of the kit standards or positive controls render a theoretical kit detection range in biological research samples containing FIGLA. The ELISA analytical biochemical technique of the MBS9333476 kit is based on FIGLA antibody-FIGLA antigen interactions (immunosorbency) and an HRP colorimetric detection system to detect FIGLA antigen targets in samples. The ELISA Kit is designed to detect native, not recombinant, FIGLA. Appropriate sample types may include undiluted body fluids and/or tissue homogenates, secretions. Quality control assays assessing reproducibility identified the intra-assay CV (%) and inter-assay CV(%).

UniProt Comments for FIGLA
FIGLA: Germline specific transcription factor implicated in postnatal oocyte-specific gene expression. Plays a key regulatory role in the expression of multiple oocyte-specific genes, including those that initiate folliculogenesis and those that encode the zona pellucida (ZP1, ZP2 and ZP3) required for fertilization and early embryonic survival. Essential for oocytes to survive and form primordial follicles. The persistence of FIGLA in ***** females suggests that it may regulate additional pathways that are essential for normal ovarian development. Binds to the E- box (5'-CANNTG-3') of the ZPs (ZP1, ZP2, ZP3) promoters. Defects in FIGLA are the cause of premature ovarian failure type 6 (POF6). An ovarian disorder defined as the cessation of ovarian function under the age of 40 years. It is characterized by oligomenorrhea or amenorrhea, in the presence of elevated levels of serum gonadotropins and low estradiol.
Cellular Component: transcription factor complex; nucleus
Molecular Function: protein dimerization activity; DNA binding; sequence-specific DNA binding; transcription factor binding
Biological Process: oogenesis; transcription from RNA polymerase II promoter; regulation of transcription, DNA-dependent; transcription, DNA-dependent; multicellular organismal development; positive regulation of transcription from RNA polymerase II promoter; cell differentiation
Research Articles on FIGLA
1. GFP positive cells showed the expression of germ cell markers Vasa, meiotic specific gene Stra8, Scp3, oocyte markers Gdf9, Zp3 and Figla, indicating that this method could be used for the purification and selection of female germ cells
