Immunofluorescence (IF) of anti-PDE6C antibody
Immunofluorescence staining of A549 cells with MBS7110063 at 1:66, counter-stained with DAPI. The cells were fixed in 4% formaldehyde, permeabilized using 0.2% Triton X-100 and blocked in 10% normal Goat Serum. The cells were then incubated with the antibody overnight at 4 degree C.The secondary antibody was Alexa Fluor 488-congugated AffiniPure Goat Anti-Rabbit IgG (H+L).

NCBI Summary for PDE6C
This gene encodes the alpha-prime subunit of cone phosphodiesterase, which is composed of a homodimer of two alpha-prime subunits and 3 smaller proteins of 11, 13, and 15 kDa. Mutations in this gene are associated with cone dystrophy type 4 (COD4). [provided by RefSeq, Mar 2010]
UniProt Comments for PDE6C
As cone-specific cGMP phosphodiesterase, it plays an essential role in light detection and cone phototransduction by rapidly decreasing intracellular levels of cGMP.
Research Articles on PDE6C
1. A novel homozygous PDE6C mutation was identified as the cause of ACHM. In addition, we identified an OPN1SW mutation in the sibling with complete achromatopsia.
