MBS289269 is a ready-to-use microwell, strip plate ELISA (enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay) Kit for analyzing the presence of the Necdin (Ndn) ELISA Kit target analytes in biological samples. The concentration gradients of the kit standards or positive controls render a theoretical kit detection range in biological research samples containing Ndn. The ELISA analytical biochemical technique of the MBS289269 kit is based on Ndn antibody-Ndn antigen interactions (immunosorbency) and an HRP colorimetric detection system to detect Ndn antigen targets in samples. The ELISA Kit is designed to detect native, not recombinant, Ndn. Appropriate sample types may include undiluted body fluids and/or tissue homogenates, secretions. Quality control assays assessing reproducibility identified the intra-assay CV (%) and inter-assay CV(%).

NDN: Growth suppressor that facilitates the entry of the cell into cell cycle arrest. Functionally similar to the retinoblastoma protein it binds to and represses the activity of cell-cycle- promoting proteins such as SV40 large T antigen, adenovirus E1A, and the transcription factor E2F. Necdin also interacts with p53 and works in an additive manner to inhibit cell growth. Functions also as transcription factor and binds directly to specific guanosine-rich DNA sequences.
