The concentration gradients of the kit standards or positive controls render a theoretical kit detection range in biological research samples containing HTR6. The ELISA analytical biochemical technique of the MBS2608382 kit is based on HTR6 antibody-HTR6 antigen interactions (immunosorbency) and an HRP colorimetric detection system to detect HTR6 antigen targets in samples. The ELISA Kit is designed to detect native, not recombinant, HTR6. Appropriate sample types may include undiluted body fluids and/or tissue homogenates, secretions. The encoded protein couples with the Gs alpha subunit and stimulates adenylate cyclase to activate the cyclic AMP-dependent signaling pathway. This receptor is thought to regulate cholinergic neuronal transmission in the brain. Several antidepressants and antipsychotic drugs have a high affinity for this receptor. 5-HT(6): This is one of the several different receptors for 5- hydroxytryptamine (serotonin), a biogenic hormone that functions as a neurotransmitter, a hormone, and a mitogen.
