The ELISA analytical biochemical technique of the MBS9398066 kit is based on SEPT9 antibody-SEPT9 antigen interactions (immunosorbency) and an HRP colorimetric detection system to detect SEPT9 antigen targets in samples. The ELISA Kit is designed to detect native, not recombinant, SEPT9. Appropriate sample types may include undiluted body fluids and/or tissue homogenates, secretions. This gene is a member of the septin family involved in cytokinesis and cell cycle control. This gene is a candidate for the ovarian tumor suppressor gene. Mutations in this gene cause hereditary neuralgic amyotrophy, also known as neuritis with brachial predilection. A chromosomal translocation involving this gene on chromosome 17 and the MLL gene on chromosome 11 results in acute myelomonocytic leukemia.
