Product Note
Select online data sheet information is drawn from bioinformatics databases, occasionally resulting in ambiguous or non-relevant product information. It is the responsibility of the customer to review, verify, and evaluate the information to make sure it matches their requirements before purchasing the kit. Our ELISA Kit assays are dynamic research tools and sometimes they may be updated and improved. If the format of this assay is important to you then please request the current manual or contact our technical support team with a presales inquiry before placing an order. We will confirm the current details of the assay. We cannot guarantee the sample manual posted online is the most current manual.
Other Notes
Small volumes of SEPT9 elisa kit vial(s) may occasionally become entrapped in the seal of the product vial during shipment and storage. If necessary, briefly centrifuge the vial on a tabletop centrifuge to dislodge any liquid in the container`s cap. Certain products may require to ship with dry ice and additional dry ice fee may apply.

MBS2603137 is a ready-to-use microwell, strip plate ELISA (enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay) Kit for analyzing the presence of the Septin-9 (SEPT9) ELISA Kit target analytes in
biological samples. The concentration gradients of the kit standards or positive controls render a theoretical kit detection range in biological research samples containing SEPT9. The ELISA analytical biochemical technique of the MBS2603137 kit is based on SEPT9 antibody-SEPT9 antigen interactions (immunosorbency) and an HRP colorimetric detection system to detect SEPT9 antigen targets in samples. The ELISA Kit is designed to detect native, not recombinant, SEPT9. Appropriate sample types may include undiluted body fluids and/or tissue homogenates, secretions. Quality control assays assessing reproducibility identified the intra-assay CV (%) and inter-assay CV(%).

NCBI Summary for SEPT9
This gene is a member of the septin family involved in cytokinesis and cell cycle control. This gene is a candidate for the ovarian tumor suppressor gene. Mutations in this gene cause hereditary neuralgic amyotrophy, also known as neuritis with brachial predilection. A chromosomal translocation involving this gene on chromosome 17 and the MLL gene on chromosome 11 results in acute myelomonocytic leukemia. Multiple alternatively spliced transcript variants encoding different isoforms have been described.[provided by RefSeq, Mar 2009]
UniProt Comments for SEPT9
SEPT9: a member of a family of novel GTP binding proteins that have been implicated in cytokinesis and exocytosis. This family include the cell division control proteins CDC3, CDC10, CDC11. Required for the completion of cytokinesis and suggest a role that is distinct from that of Nedd5.
Protein type: Cell cycle regulation; Cytoskeletal; Hydrolase
Chromosomal Location of Human Ortholog: 17q25
Cellular Component: actin cytoskeleton; axoneme; cell-cell adherens junction; cytoplasm; microtubule; perinuclear region of cytoplasm; stress fiber
Molecular Function: GTPase activity; protein binding
Biological Process: protein heterooligomerization
Disease: Amyotrophy, Hereditary Neuralgic
Research Articles on SEPT9
1. we demonstrate that SEPT9 negatively regulates EGFR degradation by preventing the association of the ubiquitin ligase Cbl with CIN85, resulting in reduced EGFR ubiquitylation
