Small volumes of anti-OPRD1 antibody vial(s) may occasionally become entrapped in the seal of the product vial during shipment and storage. If necessary, briefly centrifuge the vial on a tabletop centrifuge to dislodge any liquid in the container`s cap. Certain products may require to ship with dry ice and additional dry ice fee may apply.

Three types of opioid receptors have been cloned -- mu, delta, and kappa. Opioid receptors are seven transmembrane G-protein coupled receptors. They share a high degree of homology and are most divergent at the N- and C-termini. Activation of delta opioid receptors leads to a decrease in neuronal excitability.

This antiserum does not recognize the delta opioid receptor in fixed, native tissues. For analyzing the delta opioid receptor in fixed tissue, use Delta Opioid Receptor3-17 antiserum.
