Store at -20 degree C, for extended storage, conserve at -20 degree C or -80 degree C. Repeated freezing and thawing is not recommended. Store working aliquots at 4 degree C for up to one week.

Small volumes of SIVA recombinant protein vial(s) may occasionally become entrapped in the seal of the product vial during shipment and storage. If necessary, briefly centrifuge the vial on a tabletop centrifuge to dislodge any liquid in the container`s cap. Certain products may require to ship with dry ice and additional dry ice fee may apply.

Induces CD27-mediated apoptosis. Inhibits BCL2L1 isoform Bcl-x (L) anti-apoptotic activity. Inhibits activation of NF-kappa-B and promotes T-cell receptor-mediated apoptosis.

This gene encodes a protein with an important role in the apoptotic (programmed cell death) pathway induced by the CD27 antigen, a member of the tumor necrosis factor receptor (TFNR) superfamily. The CD27 antigen cytoplasmic tail binds to the N-terminus of this protein. Two alternatively spliced transcript variants encoding distinct proteins have been described. Siva: a proapoptotic protein. Associates with CD27, a member of the tumor necrosis factor receptor family. Two alternatively spliced isoforms have been described. Isoform 1 but not isoform 2 may induce TNFRSF7/CD27 mediated apoptosis. Isoform 1 inhibits Bcl-xL anti-apoptotic activity.
