Product Note
Select online data sheet information is drawn from bioinformatics databases, occasionally resulting in ambiguous or non-relevant product information. It is the responsibility of the customer to review, verify, and evaluate the information to make sure it matches their requirements before purchasing the kit. Our ELISA Kit assays are dynamic research tools and sometimes they may be updated and improved. If the format of this assay is important to you then please request the current manual or contact our technical support team with a presales inquiry before placing an order. We will confirm the current details of the assay. We cannot guarantee the sample manual posted online is the most current manual.
Other Notes
Small volumes of P2ry12 elisa kit vial(s) may occasionally become entrapped in the seal of the product vial during shipment and storage. If necessary, briefly centrifuge the vial on a tabletop centrifuge to dislodge any liquid in the container`s cap. Certain products may require to ship with dry ice and additional dry ice fee may apply.

MBS2881937 is a ready-to-use microwell, strip plate ELISA (enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay) Kit for analyzing the presence of the P2Y purinoceptor 12 (P2ry12) ELISA Kit target analytes in
biological samples. The concentration gradients of the kit standards or positive controls render a theoretical kit detection range in biological research samples containing P2ry12. The ELISA analytical biochemical technique of the MBS2881937 kit is based on P2ry12 antibody-P2ry12 antigen interactions (immunosorbency) and an HRP colorimetric detection system to detect P2ry12 antigen targets in samples. The ELISA Kit is designed to detect native, not recombinant, P2ry12. Appropriate sample types may include undiluted body fluids and/or tissue homogenates, secretions. Quality control assays assessing reproducibility identified the intra-assay CV (%) and inter-assay CV(%).

UniProt Comments for P2ry12
P2Y12: Receptor for ADP and ATP coupled to G-proteins that inhibit the adenylyl cyclase second messenger system. Not activated by UDP and UTP. Involved in platelets aggregation. Defects in P2RY12 are the cause of bleeding disorder platelet-type 8 (BDPLT8). A condition characterized by mild to moderate mucocutaneous bleeding, and excessive bleeding after surgery or trauma. The defect is due to severe impairment of platelet response to ADP resulting in defective platelet aggregation. Belongs to the G-protein coupled receptor 1 family.
Protein type: Mitochondrial; Membrane protein, multi-pass; Membrane protein, integral; Receptor, GPCR; GPCR, family 1
Cellular Component: basal plasma membrane; caveola; cell surface; external side of plasma membrane; integral to membrane; integral to plasma membrane; intracellular; intrinsic to membrane; membrane; mitochondrion; plasma membrane
Molecular Function: adenosine receptor activity, G-protein coupled; G-protein coupled receptor activity; platelet ADP receptor activity; purinergic nucleotide receptor activity, G-protein coupled; signal transducer activity
Biological Process: adenosine receptor signaling pathway; blood coagulation; cell projection organization and biogenesis; G-protein coupled receptor protein signaling pathway; G-protein signaling, adenylate cyclase inhibiting pathway; G-protein signaling, coupled to cAMP nucleotide second messenger; glial cell migration; hemostasis; negative regulation of cell differentiation; platelet activation; positive regulation of ion transport; protein kinase B signaling cascade; regulation of calcium ion transport; signal transduction; substrate-bound cell migration, cell extension
