Product Note
Select online data sheet information is drawn from bioinformatics databases, occasionally resulting in ambiguous or non-relevant product information. It is the responsibility of the customer to review, verify, and evaluate the information to make sure it matches their requirements before purchasing the kit. Our ELISA Kit assays are dynamic research tools and sometimes they may be updated and improved. If the format of this assay is important to you then please request the current manual or contact our technical support team with a presales inquiry before placing an order. We will confirm the current details of the assay. We cannot guarantee the sample manual posted online is the most current manual.
Other Notes
Small volumes of GNAT2 elisa kit vial(s) may occasionally become entrapped in the seal of the product vial during shipment and storage. If necessary, briefly centrifuge the vial on a tabletop centrifuge to dislodge any liquid in the container`s cap. Certain products may require to ship with dry ice and additional dry ice fee may apply.

MBS9332457 is a ready-to-use microwell, strip plate ELISA (enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay) Kit for analyzing the presence of the guanine nucleotide binding protein (G protein), alpha transducing activity polypeptide 2 (GNAT2) ELISA Kit target analytes in
biological samples. The concentration gradients of the kit standards or positive controls render a theoretical kit detection range in biological research samples containing GNAT2. The ELISA analytical biochemical technique of the MBS9332457 kit is based on GNAT2 antibody-GNAT2 antigen interactions (immunosorbency) and an HRP colorimetric detection system to detect GNAT2 antigen targets in samples. The ELISA Kit is designed to detect native, not recombinant, GNAT2. Appropriate sample types may include undiluted body fluids and/or tissue homogenates, secretions. Quality control assays assessing reproducibility identified the intra-assay CV (%) and inter-assay CV(%).

UniProt Comments for GNAT2
G-alpha t2: Guanine nucleotide-binding proteins (G proteins) are involved as modulators or transducers in various transmembrane signaling systems. Transducin is an amplifier and one of the transducers of a visual impulse that performs the coupling between rhodopsin and cGMP-phosphodiesterase. Defects in GNAT2 are the cause of achromatopsia type 4 (ACHM4). Achromatopsia is an autosomal recessively inherited visual disorder that is present from birth and that features the absence of color discrimination. Belongs to the G-alpha family. G(i/o/t/z) subfamily.
Protein type: G protein, heterotrimeric alpha G((i/o/t/z)); G protein, heterotrimeric; G protein
Cellular Component: photoreceptor outer segment; photoreceptor inner segment; membrane; heterotrimeric G-protein complex; cytosol
Molecular Function: GTPase activity; signal transducer activity; GTP binding; G-protein-coupled receptor binding; guanyl nucleotide binding; metal ion binding; G-protein beta/gamma-subunit binding; nucleotide binding; G-protein coupled photoreceptor activity
Biological Process: G-protein signaling, coupled to cAMP nucleotide second messenger; G-protein coupled receptor protein signaling pathway; elevation of cytosolic calcium ion concentration; visual perception; retinal cone cell development; response to light intensity; response to stimulus; phototransduction; detection of light stimulus involved in visual perception; G-protein signaling, coupled to cGMP nucleotide second messenger; detection of chemical stimulus involved in sensory perception of bitter taste; signal transduction; detection of visible light
