Store at 4 degree C or at -20 degree C if preferred. Storage in frost-free freezers is not recommended. This product should be stored undiluted. Avoid repeated freezing and thawing as this may denature the antibody. Should this product contain a precipitate we recommend microcentrifugation before use.
Shelf Life: 18 months from date of despatch.
Other Notes
Small volumes of anti-CD16 antibody vial(s) may occasionally become entrapped in the seal of the product vial during shipment and storage. If necessary, briefly centrifuge the vial on a tabletop centrifuge to dislodge any liquid in the container`s cap. Certain products may require to ship with dry ice and additional dry ice fee may apply.
Related Product Information for
anti-CD16 antibody
Mouse anti Human CD16 antibody, clone DJ130c recognizes human CD16, also known as Low affinity immunoglobulin gamma Fc region receptor III-A or Fc-gamma RIIIa. CD16a is a 254 amino acid ~50-65kDa single pass type 1 transmembrane glycoprotein bearing two Ig-like C2 type domains. CD16 exists as a transmembranous form (Fc gammaRIIIA, or CD16A) and a glycosyl phosphatidylinositol (GPI) anchored form, Fc gammaRIIIB, or CD16B (Scallon et al. 1989). CD16A is expressed by NK cells, some T cells, and macrophages, whereas CD16B is primarily expressed by granulocytes (Ravetch and Perussia 1989). In addition, CD16B exists as two allelic variants NA1 and NA2. DJ130c recognizes all polymorphonuclear cells irrespective of their NA phenotype. Mouse anti Human CD16 antibody, clone DJ130c recognizes an epitope in the first membrane-distal domain of CD16, recognizes both CD16a and CD16b and has been demonstrated to cross-react with CD16 from rhesus macaques, Macaca mulatta (Xu et al. 2012)

Application Notes for anti-CD16 antibody
Flow Cytometry: Use 10ul of the suggested working dilution to label 1x106 cells in 100ul.
Immunohistology - Paraffin: Application Note: This product requires antigen retrieval using heat treatment prior to staining of paraffin sections. Sodium citrate buffer pH 6.0 is recommended for this purpose.

NCBI Summary for CD16
The protein encoded by this gene is a low affinity receptor for the Fc region of gamma immunoglobulins (IgG). The encoded protein acts as a monomer and can bind either monomeric or aggregated IgG. This gene may function to capture immune complexes in the peripheral circulation. Several transcript variants encoding different isoforms have been found for this gene. A highly-similar gene encoding a related protein is also found on chromosome 1. [provided by RefSeq, Aug 2012]
UniProt Comments for CD16
Receptor for the Fc region of immunoglobulins gamma. Low affinity receptor. Binds complexed or aggregated IgG and also monomeric IgG. Contrary to III-A, is not capable to mediate antibody-dependent cytotoxicity and phagocytosis. May serve as a trap for immune complexes in the peripheral circulation which does not activate neutrophils.
Research Articles on CD16
1. In Taiwanese individuals, a low FCGR3A copy number is a common risk factor for systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE) and rheumatoid arthritis (RA), while a low FCGR3B copy number confers a risk of SLE but not RA.
