Preparation and Storage
The stability of kit is determined by the loss rate of activity. The loss rate of this kit is less than 5% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.
To minimize extra influence on the performance, operation procedures and lab conditions, especially room temperature, air humidity, incubator temperature should be strictly controlled. It is also strongly suggested that the whole assay is performed by the same operator from the beginning to the end.
ISO Certification
Manufactured in an ISO 9001:2008 and ISO 13485:2003 Certified Laboratory.
Supply Chain Verification
Manufactured in a lab with traceable raw materials. Bulk orders can typically be prepared to the customerâs specifications, please inquire.
Product Note
Select online data sheet information is drawn from bioinformatics databases, occasionally resulting in ambiguous or non-relevant product information. It is the responsibility of the customer to review, verify, and evaluate the information to make sure it matches their requirements before purchasing the kit. Our ELISA Kit assays are dynamic research tools and sometimes they may be updated and improved. If the format of this assay is important to you then please request the current manual or contact our technical support team with a presales inquiry before placing an order. We will confirm the current details of the assay. We cannot guarantee the sample manual posted online is the most current manual.
Other Notes
Small volumes of ACTg2 elisa kit vial(s) may occasionally become entrapped in the seal of the product vial during shipment and storage. If necessary, briefly centrifuge the vial on a tabletop centrifuge to dislodge any liquid in the container`s cap. Certain products may require to ship with dry ice and additional dry ice fee may apply.

MBS2019919 is a ready-to-use microwell, strip plate ELISA (enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay) Kit for analyzing the presence of the Actin Gamma 2, Smooth Muscle (ACTg2) ELISA Kit target analytes in
biological samples. The concentration gradients of the kit standards or positive controls render a theoretical kit detection range in biological research samples containing ACTg2. The ELISA analytical biochemical technique of the MBS2019919 kit is based on ACTg2 antibody-ACTg2 antigen interactions (immunosorbency) and an HRP colorimetric detection system to detect ACTg2 antigen targets in samples. The ELISA Kit is designed to detect native, not recombinant, ACTg2. Appropriate sample types may include undiluted body fluids and/or tissue homogenates, secretions. Quality control assays assessing reproducibility identified the intra-assay CV (%) and inter-assay CV(%).

ACTg2 elisa kit
The test principle applied in this kit is Sandwich enzyme immunoassay. The microtiter plate provided in this kit has been pre-coated with an antibody specific to Actin Gamma 2, Smooth Muscle (ACTg2). Standards or samples are then added to the appropriate microtiter plate wells with a biotin-conjugated antibody specific to Actin Gamma 2, Smooth Muscle (ACTg2). Next, Avidin conjugated to Horseradish Peroxidase (HRP) is added to each microplate well and incubated. After TMB substrate solution is added, only those wells that contain Actin Gamma 2, Smooth Muscle (ACTg2), biotin-conjugated antibody and enzyme-conjugated Avidin will exhibit a change in color. The enzyme-substrate reaction is terminated by the addition of sulphuric acid solution and the color change is measured spectrophotometrically at a wavelength of 450nm ± 10nm. The concentration of Actin Gamma 2, Smooth Muscle (ACTg2) in the samples is then determined by comparing the O.D. of the samples to the standard curve.

NCBI Summary for ACTg2
Actins are highly conserved proteins that are involved in various types of cell motility and in the maintenance of the cytoskeleton. Three types of actins, alpha, beta and gamma, have been identified in vertebrates. Alpha actins are found in muscle tissues and are a major constituent of the contractile apparatus. The beta and gamma actins co-exist in most cell types as components of the cytoskeleton and as mediators of internal cell motility. This gene encodes actin gamma 2; a smooth muscle actin found in enteric tissues. Alternative splicing results in multiple transcript variants encoding distinct isoforms. Based on similarity to peptide cleavage of related actins, the mature protein of this gene is formed by removal of two N-terminal peptides.[provided by RefSeq, Dec 2010]
UniProt Comments for ACTg2
ACTG2: Actins are highly conserved proteins that are involved in various types of cell motility and are ubiquitously expressed in all eukaryotic cells. Polymerization of globular actin (G-actin) leads to a structural filament (F-actin) in the form of a two-stranded helix. Each actin can bind to 4 others. Belongs to the actin family.
Protein type: Motility/polarity/chemotaxis; Contractile; Cytoskeletal
Chromosomal Location of Human Ortholog: 2p13.1
Cellular Component: extracellular space; cytoskeleton; cytosol
Molecular Function: ATP binding
Biological Process: muscle contraction
Disease: Visceral Myopathy
Research Articles on ACTg2
1. ACTG2 encodes g2 enteric actin and is the first gene to be clearly associated with Megacystis-microcolon-intestinal hypoperistalsis syndrome, suggesting an important role for contractile proteins in enteric smooth muscle disease.
