Product Note
Select online data sheet information is drawn from bioinformatics databases, occasionally resulting in ambiguous or non-relevant product information. It is the responsibility of the customer to review, verify, and evaluate the information to make sure it matches their requirements before purchasing the kit. Our ELISA Kit assays are dynamic research tools and sometimes they may be updated and improved. If the format of this assay is important to you then please request the current manual or contact our technical support team with a presales inquiry before placing an order. We will confirm the current details of the assay. We cannot guarantee the sample manual posted online is the most current manual.
Other Notes
Small volumes of AT-III elisa kit vial(s) may occasionally become entrapped in the seal of the product vial during shipment and storage. If necessary, briefly centrifuge the vial on a tabletop centrifuge to dislodge any liquid in the container`s cap. Certain products may require to ship with dry ice and additional dry ice fee may apply.

MBS163593 is a ready-to-use microwell, strip plate ELISA (enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay) Kit for analyzing the presence of the Anti-Thrombin III, AT-III, ELISA Kit target analytes in
biological samples. The concentration gradients of the kit standards or positive controls render a theoretical kit detection range in biological research samples containing AT-III. The ELISA analytical biochemical technique of the MBS163593 kit is based on AT-III antibody-AT-III antigen interactions (immunosorbency) and an HRP colorimetric detection system to detect AT-III antigen targets in samples. The ELISA Kit is designed to detect native, not recombinant, AT-III. Appropriate sample types may include undiluted body fluids and/or tissue homogenates, secretions. Quality control assays assessing reproducibility identified the intra-assay CV (%) and inter-assay CV(%).

AT-III elisa kit
Intended Uses: This sandwich kit is for the accurate quantitative detection of Mouse Anti-Thrombin ? (also known as AT?) in serum, plasma, cell culture supernates, cell lysates, tissue homogenates.
Principles of the Assay: This kit is an Enzyme-Linked Immunosorbent Assay (ELISA). The plate has been pre-coated with Mouse AT? antibody. AT? present in the sample is added and binds to antibodies coated on the wells. And then biotinylated Mouse AT?
Antibody is added and binds to AT? in the sample. Then Streptavidin-HRP is added and binds to the Biotinylated AT? antibody. After incubation unbound Streptavidin-HRP is washed away during a washing step. Substrate solution is then added and color develops in proportion to the amount of Mouse AT?. The reaction is terminated by addition of acidic stop solution and absorbance is measured at 450 nm.

UniProt Comments for AT-III
Most important serine protease inhibitor in plasma that regulates the blood coagulation cascade. AT-III inhibits thrombin, matriptase-3/TMPRSS7, as well as factors IXa, Xa and XIa. Its inhibitory activity is greatly enhanced in the presence of heparin ().
Research Articles on AT-III
1. RNA interference of Serpinc1 and/or Proc allows for evaluation of the function of these genes in vivo and provides a novel, controlled mouse model for spontaneous venous thrombosis.
