TNF-b is a potent multifunctional cytokine produced mainly by activated T and B lymphocytes. The protein has been shown to have a specific potent cytotoxic activity on tumor cells and a variety of other target cells as well as being a mediator of inflammation and immune function.

TNF-b Human Recombinant produced in E.Coli is a single, non-glycosylated polypeptide chain containing 192 amino acids (35-205 a.a.) and having a molecular mass of 20.9kDa.
TNF-b is fused to a 21 amino acid His-tag at N-terminus & purified by proprietary chromatographic techniques.

Sterile Filtered clear solution.

TNF-b protein solution (0.25mg/ml) contains 20mM Tris-HCl buffer (pH8.0), 30% glycerol, 0.1M NaCl and 1mM DTT.

Store at 4°C if entire vial will be used within 2-4 weeks. Store, frozen at -20°C for longer periods of time.
For long term storage it is recommended to add a carrier protein (0.1% HSA or BSA).
Avoid multiple freeze-thaw cycles.

Greater than 90% as determined by SDS-PAGE.

Measured in a cytotoxicity assay using L929 mouse fibrosarcoma cells in the presence of the metabolic inhibitor actinomycin D. The ED₅₀ for this effect is <0.3 ng/ml.
