Introduction
Ro 60 kDa autoantigen is an RNA-binding protein that binds to several small cytoplasmic RNA molecules known as Y RNAs. SSA2 may stabilize these RNAs from degradation. Sera taken from patients with Systemic Lupus Erythematosus (SLE) often contains antibodies that react with the normal cellular SSA2 protein as if this antigen was foreign.
Description
TROVE2 His is a recombinant protein having a molecular mass of 61,696 Dalton (pH 8.3-8.6 (depending on prediction program). TROVE2 is fused to a hexa-histidine purification tag.
Source
Escherichia Coli.
Formulation
TROVE2 is supplied in 16mM HEPES buffer pH-8.0, 400mM NaCl, and 20% glycerol.
Immunological functions
1. Binds IgG-type human auto-antibodies.
2. Standard ELISA test (checkerboard analysis of positive/negative sera panels); immunodot test with positive/negative sera panels.
Applications
Western blot with SLE sera (secondary Sjogren’s syndrome) ormonoclonal anti-hexa-His-tag antibody.
Coating concentration
0.2-0.5 µg/ml (depending on the type of ELISA plate and coating buffer). Suitable for biotinylation and iodination.
Purity
Greater than 90% as determined by SDS-PAGE.
Stability
Store at 4°C if entire vial will be used within 2-4 weeks. Store, frozen at -20°C for longer periods of time.
Avoid multiple freeze-thaw cycles.
