If necessary, briefly centrifuge the vial on a tabletop centrifuge to dislodge any liquid in the container`s cap. Certain products may require to ship with dry ice and additional dry ice fee may apply.
Related Product Information for
anti-TREM2 antibody
This is a rabbit polyclonal antibody against TREM2. It was validated on Western Blot
Target Description: The protein encoded by this gene is a membrane protein that forms a receptor signaling complex with TYROBP. The encoded protein may be involved in chronic inflammation by triggering the production of constitutive inflammatory cytokines. Defects in this gene are a cause of polycystic lipomembranous osteodysplasia with sclerosing leukoencephalopathy (PLOSL).

NCBI Summary for TREM2
This gene encodes a membrane protein that forms a receptor signaling complex with the TYRO protein tyrosine kinase binding protein. The encoded protein functions in immune response and may be involved in chronic inflammation by triggering the production of constitutive inflammatory cytokines. Defects in this gene are a cause of polycystic lipomembranous osteodysplasia with sclerosing leukoencephalopathy (PLOSL). Alternative splicing results in multiple transcript variants encoding different isoforms. [provided by RefSeq, Nov 2012]
UniProt Comments for TREM2
Forms a receptor signaling complex with TYROBP and triggers activation of the immune responses in macrophages and dendritic cells. May have a role in chronic inflammations and may stimulate production of constitutive rather than inflammatory chemokines and cytokines.
Research Articles on TREM2
1. These data seem to confirm the protective role of TREM2 in the pre-clinical stage of AD. Upregulation of TREM2 in MCI-AD could be a mechanism to counteract the activation of neuroinflammatory processes.
