This TUBB2B antibody is generated from rabbits immunized with a KLH conjugated synthetic peptide between 12-39 amino acids from the N-terminal region of human TUBB2B.

Peptide Affinity Purified Rabbit Polyclonal Antibody (Pab)

Purified polyclonal antibody supplied in PBS with 0.09% (W/V) sodium azide. This antibody is purified through a protein A column, followed by peptide affinity purification.

Maintain refrigerated at 2-8 degree C for up to 6 months. For long term storage store at -20 degree C in small aliquots to prevent freeze-thaw cycles.

The protein encoded by this gene is a beta isoform of
tubulin, which binds GTP and is a major component of microtubules.
This gene is highly similar to TUBB2A and TUBB2C. Defects in this
gene are a cause of asymmetric polymicrogyria. [provided by

The protein encoded by this gene is a beta isoform of tubulin, which binds GTP and is a major component of microtubules. This gene is highly similar to TUBB2A and TUBB2C. Defects in this gene are a cause of asymmetric polymicrogyria. [provided by RefSeq, Mar 2010]

TUBB2B: Tubulin is the major constituent of microtubules. It binds two moles of GTP, one at an exchangeable site on the beta chain and one at a non-exchangeable site on the alpha-chain. TUBB2B is implicated in neuronal migration. Defects in TUBB2B are a cause of polymicrogyria asymmetric (PMGA). PMGA is a malformation of the cortex in which the brain surface is irregular and characterized by an excessive number of small gyri with abnormal lamination. Belongs to the tubulin family.
